Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop

Did you know that we spend nearly 50 % of our time on auto-pilot which means we are not consciously aware of what we are doing when we we are doing it? Do you feel that you spend your life “doing” but half the time you don’t know what you have done or why?
Mindfulness is all about bringing awareness to your present experience. Whenever you bring awareness to what you’re directly experiencing via your senses, or to your state of mind via your thoughts and emotions, you’re being mindful. And there’s growing research showing that when you train your brain to be mindful, you’re actually remodeling the physical structure of your brain in a positive way.
In this workshop we will look at what mindfulness is and isn’t and how it can have a positive effect on your life. We will try out some practices and you will directly experience the benefits of meditation and other mindfulness in daily life practices. You will go home with the tools to introduce Mindfulness into your life.
